Toka “Bubblegum Plum” was introduced in 1911 in South Dakota, and was a cross between the American plum and the fragrant apricot of China. It’s self pollinating but also produces a ton of pollen to help other plum trees nearby that may require cross pollination. The fruit is incredibly sweet, like candy, earning it’s nickname “Bubblegum Plum”. It has tolerated temperatures as low as -50 degrees F.

Brookred Plum originated from Alberta Canada as a cross between the Japanese plum and American plum. It’s incredibly cold hardy (down to a zone 2) and has beautiful pink-red skin and golden flesh. It’s sweet, juicy, and great for fresh eating or preserves.

The Black Ice Plum, developed in Wisconsin, came from a unique cross of a Western Sand Cherry plum with a Japanese plum. The result is beautiful DARK red almost black plums that are sweet, juicy, and very cold hardy.

The Green Gage Plum originated in England in the 1700’s and is highly prized for it’s flavor, color, and versatility. It’s yellow-green sweet and tender fruit is not only great for fresh eating but baking, preserves, canning, etc…
